What is CarePortal?

The CarePortal is an online platform for connecting churches with vetted DHS needs in our community. When a DHS caseworker recognizes an unmet need in one of the families they serve, they can post that need onto CarePortal where all the connecting churches in our area can read, respond to, and even claim that need. The church then connects with the caseworker and the family to meet that material need.

As important as it is to meet these material needs, the heart of CarePortal is for the church who meets the need to then surround this family with spiritual, emotional, and relational support. Much like Jesus and his disciples would meet physical needs before also sharing with them the hope of eternal life, CarePortal churches have the opportunity to provide much needed physical necessities as an entry point to further Gospel interactions.

In Oklahoma, CarePortal is operated and organized by the 111 Project. To hear more about their heart and mission, click HERE.
